7 day travelcard and 2FOR1 advice

Jump to last reply

Read a thousand and one posts on this topic and I am still confused!
We arrive in london on 6 Apr and leave for Paris on 10 Apr around 8:00am. So technically we are in London for 5 calendar days (or post 4:29am on day 5).

1. Is a 7 day zone 1-6 Travelcard valid on First Capital Connect trains from Gatwick to London Bridge? Does it make sense to buy it considering that it is twice as expensive as the zone 1-2 travelcard?
I dont know the cost of FCC ticket to London Bridge...so not sure if buying the FCC ticket and zone 1-2 travelcard independently comes to same as purchasing a zone 1-6 TC.
On second thoughts...is an Oyster card valid on FCC trains?????

2. Can I avail 2FOR1 offer on the FCC ticket from Gatwick to London Bridge for visiting more than one sight? And does the visit need to be on the same day as the day of travel?

3. Further, I have registered for paper TC 2FOR1 offers on the Days Out website for entries to several sights. One can visit these sights over the 7 day period (in my case during the 4 full days) or is this valid for the date of purchase/travel only? We would really like to avail these offers.

4. Finally, the big question.....looking at the above should we go for a paper Travelcard or Oyster PAYG...and if a Travelcard then which one?
