Wow - Yorkshire always has pleased me - especially the moors but where is Yorkshire Pudding on that list or ain't it found much in Yokshur?
And that train station in York - the most amazing in the U K IMO and the National Railway Museum... so much - neat pictures thanks for posting and except the weather you are lucky to be living in one of the nicer parts of the U.K. (I can't understand it when folks say on the train to Scotland from London there ain't much nice scenery - well there is in Yorkshire!

I thought that YORK MINSTER was stunning and not cluttered with later additions of choirs, confessionals, separate altars, and memorials that block the view in so many other cathedrals in Europe - Seville and Toledo for example.

The Yorkshire puds are photo 49 - and they look good too.>
funny I slowly went thru the all but hurried a bit near the end - I guess they looked more like glazed doughnuts at quick glance than Yorkshire Pub. Sorry for the mistake.

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing. We just traveled from London to York and then on to Edinburgh by train and thoroughly enjoyed our time in York and the scenery from the windows. We saw York Minister and went back in the evening for evensong, walked through the Shambles, had tea at Betty's, and walked on a portion of the wall. Also did a day trip to Melrose Abbey which was one of the highlights of our time in Britain.
The Knaresbridge picture is breathtaking. I, too, would love to spend more time in Yorkshire.

The dales are like a series of valleys, very green...lots of pretty market towns like Skipton and Settle...the moors are further north and east...more desolate...still beautiful though...different styles of geography I guess

They missed off the best reason - its right next to Lancashire.
Seriously, were it not for my commitments I would be over the border like a shot. And despite what they say, I find most Yorkshire folk much more friendly.

Thanks! I just saw this set which was recommended on a photography site I visit. The beauty and humor were wonderful in these pictures. I spent a week in Yorks. thirty years ago and hope to go back some day.
