5 Stars-of-Scandinavia
Has anybody used the tour company 5 Stars-of-Scandinavia? I am thinking of using them for a trip to Norway and was looking for any positive or negative comments. Thank you

I am also thinking of taking their 2 night trip from Copenhagen to Oslo and was also wondering:
1. Are those smooth waters to sail in;
2. Is it the equivalent of a well known cruiseship line like Holland America or similar;
3. How is the food;
4. How are the cabins and how luxurious do you have to go so as not to be very tight;
5. Is there enough entertainment and other things to do for teenagers;
6. Was it enough time to see Oslo understanding that it is only 9 to 5 you are there???

A two day cruise from Copenhagen to Oslo? That sounds too long... Usually such a trip takes less than a day. I'm not familiar with the company though... I'd be curious to see their website if they have one; I thought I knew all the lines that offered trips between Norway and Denmark.

If people boat it between Oslo and Copenhagen, they take the overnight boat. The boat leaves the harbor around 5 pm and arrives at around 8 (or was it 9?) am. It's nice but I wouldn't call it luxurious.

Are you talking about Color Line between Copenhagen and Oslo? It's an overnight trip, cabin size depends on what you want to pay for, smooth sailing but I never get seasick, even in tiny boats in choppy water, the entertainment is cheesy.
Go to Vigelandparken and the museums at Bygdøy from 9 to 5.

I think the boat/ferry is the same boat by DFDS www.dfdsseawaysusa.com that locals use when traveling between the two cities, hardly luxurious but it has some entertaining. Nice if the only thing you want to see in Norway is Oslo. It's called a minicruise. the Oslo fjord is nothing like the western fjords, but still quite mountainious in comparison to Danish landscape.

Is it enough time to see Oslo? You have time to get a feeling of the main shopping street (Karl Johan, Aker Brygge), Vigeland Sculpture Park and National Gallery. Is it enough? It's up to you. There are other tings to do that requires more time (Museums at Bygdöy, Sognsvann and surrounding woods)
