Yes, we're 5 guys winging it in Europe for a month and we just figured out we'd be near Berlin in mid-June. All reasonably priced hostels/hotels appear to be sold out in Berlin, so we are thinking of staying in Potsdam and travelling by train. Will tickets be impossible for the game? What about transportation on that day by train? Any comments (other than we're totally stupid to be planning so late!).

Hi T,

I think you've said it all.

You can always find somewhere to crash.

How much are you willing to pay for tickets?

If you don't already have tickets, they will be pretty hard to come by -- they have gone to great lengths to try to prevent scalping. However, you can find some being sold on eBay, but be prepared to pay dearly for them.

Current asking price on eBay is $2000 for a pair.

That's helpful stuff. Looks like we may just be going to watch the spectacle and be part of the action! But we still want to go, even if we don't see the game. Thoughts about the Potsdam/Berlin housing arrangements?
