Hello fellow fodorites... I have been researching extensively and having much difficulty finding a hotel or an aptmt. for under $100 per person/per night in Rome. There are 4 of us and we can all cram into 1 room... We really want to stay near the Palazzo Navona area... Even $75.00 would be good a night per person. Is this realistic, any feeback and resources are welcomed. Our travel dates are in late April...
thanks
Marilyn

Mare525 - If I am reading correctly, you are looking at spending $300-400 a night. If so, try www.sleepinitaly.com they have many apartments near Piazza Navona that fit your needs. Many for alot less than $300 per night.
Tom
I rented this apartment for 110 euros a night, and it sleeps 4 (2 on a sofa bed). It is less than a minutes stroll from the Pantheon.

I also like this one very much, and it has 2 bedrooms...

sleepinitaly have loads of apartments that will come in under your bedget, so have a look at their website. Good luck!
realrome.com also has relatively inexpensive apartment options and is a very good agency to deal with. I think many of theit listings are for "Campo de' fiori" rather than "Piazza Navonna" but this is another good area not far away.
Hey Dude,
Termini Rooms in rome is a good place to stay and well within ur budget. rooms are clean, quiet, and have comfortable rooms and beds. Although close to the train station, the area is not bad. The staff does not speak any English, but is very nice. Internet is available for free in an internet close by. The breakfast consists of a croissant and coffee or cappuccino. Overall, Termini rooms is ideal for tourists who don't need a fancy accommodation, but are looking for a cheap but nonetheless nice place to stay in Rome.
Try www.hosteltraveler.com for a good deal.
Do a search on the word "montevecchio" and you'll find 2 reviews I did on 2 apartments that more than fit your needs. Price for 4 would be about $200 per night for the apartment.

Don't cram into one room! Get an apartment and you'll have space, cooking facilities, maybe a terrace and did I mention space?
