4 days..2 in paris +2 in london?

how would you spend 4 full days. i'm fit, can walk up, through and across anything, want to see things can't afford fancy tours and will sleep when its all over. But do i do 2+2 or 3+1 or just 4 days in one place.

hope to come back again in another century to do it whatever i miss this time round.

If it were me, I'd stay in one place. Wait a minute - it WAS me and I DID stay in one place. I actually just did a week in London with a couple of day trips, so I had 5 days in London. I didn't get bored.

I wasn't trying to suggest that one is better than the other. There are about a million places that I would like to see, but I'd rather spend longer in one place and delve than hop around. I think that's more of a personality thing. Everyone's different.

I can't really speak to Paris because I've never been, but I'm sure you could fill four days there.

Well, I've been to both places many times, but have stayed longer in each of them then 4 days. No matter how fit you are you can get tired and travel is tiring. I'd stick to one city, there is much more then 4 days worth in each to see so the choice is up to you. I suppose you could stay in either London or Paris and take Eurostar to the other city for a one-dayer. Early out and back late with a look-see around the city of "famous sights". While I love Paris, I am more fond of London and feel there is more to see/do there (personal opinion only, not starting a debate here on the cities) but with only 4 days either would be a good choice. I just would not split it up, too much packing and unpacking and getting to hotels, etc. to cram into that short a time.

Definitely pick one ot the other - not both. Both are fabulous and you wouldn't see all of either one in 30 days.

Plus you lose a full day to travel if you count getting to the fist city, getting to the 2nd city and getting home.

Both are so wonderful that you can't go wrong which ever you choose. London for the amazing theatre scene, history, scenery, etc. Paris for history, scenery, romance, etc.

Plan on 4 days in one and relax and enjoy it more than running back and forth.

Sorry...Either will produce the required romantic stimulation. Stay in one place your attitude is great. Coin toss on which is better

You can conceivably do two days in Paris, fly or take the Eurostar, and spend two days in London. You'll need to plan your itinerary very carefully: no time for lollygagging; you'll have to be on the go from morning until night; you'll have to know when things are open so you don't waste a trip; you'll need to have your hotels reserved because you won't have time to look for one. If this is your first trip to either city, and you don't think you'll be back anytime soon, then do both cities. Think of it as a tapas bar or dim sum cart sort of trip.
