4 day Visit to London

Hi Everyone :

If anyone can help me on this , i am coming to london for a trip and i have planned a small itinerary can you please tell me if its okay to visit all those in a perticular day or if they are too far :

My host there will be showing me around the major ones in a day :
Saturday : London Eye , Big ben , Westminister Abbey and Bridge, London bridge ,Thames Cruise ,Piccadilly .

Then next wednesday , thursday and friday i will going out for tour all by myself :

Wednesday :
Madame Tussad’s --> Baker street tube station ( sherlock) --->Lord’s
Thursday :
Windsor castle --> Kensington palace --> National history Museum
Friday :
St Paul’s cathedral--> Tate modern --> Trafalgar square --> national gallery

And I have seen the previous posts on forum and everyone is recommending Hampton court ...and i personally would like to visit Wimbeldon too ( both are nearby) ..
can you tell me if i can fix it somewhere in this plan ...
Its kinda my one time visit .. Any suggestions are welcome

It isn't London Bridge -- most likely you are thunking of Tower Bridge

Wed. - I would consider not going to Mme Tussauds - there is a lot more to see in London that is a lot more worthwhile/less expensive.

Thurs. That is a really impossible plan. Windsor is well out of town and take at least 1/2 a day. (Do you mean the Natural History Museum or the British Museum? )

You don't have time for either Hampton Court or Wimbledon.

As it is (and I'm guessing Lord's is important to you) If you skip Mme Tussauds, you could move some of Friday's sites to Wed and be able to squeeze in Hampton Court Palace on Friday.

But you really need to re-think your whole plan. Maybe skip the river cruise on Saturday and do one of the museums that day.

The line at Madame Tussaud's might make you think twice...it's really just a wax museum like they have in tonnes of big cities around the world. The time it takes to get there eats up time even if you just want to go in for a bit...plus it is pricey!!!! I would definitely skip it to fit in something like Hampton Court that you can only see in England!

There's no National History Museum. In fact, there's no national history museum (the British Museum is probably the world's major museum of world history: it's in Britain because we've owned more of the world than anyone else, and our universities teach the history of more bits of the world than anyone else)

If you're interested in our national history, we're too self-effacing to have a museum dedicated to it. The Museum of London, the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich and the Imperial War Museum (we've fought wars with more people than anyone else, too) sort of do it a bit. The British Library is also our national museum of literature.

The Natural History Museum is simply one of a dozen or so decent museums around the world concentrating on the history of biology, though with more photogenic dinosaurs than most others.

There is no national history museum. (But now you are saying the National Gallery) What there are are:

• The National Gallery (a very large art gallery)
• The British Museum (could be considered the 'national history museum' because it is the largest/most famous museum in the country)
• The Natural History Museum (a museum of natural sciences like dinosaurs, minerals, things like that)

But they each have very specific names and NONE are called the National History museum. So which one are you thinking of?

Sorry, but you simply don't have time for all those place.

Windsor Castle is not in London - it's at least half a day if you want to visit that. If you have never been to London before, I would stay in London, and not travel to Windsor.

On Friday; you could start at the Tate Modern - even if you are not a huge fan of modern art, it's an interesting building and you can walk over the Millennium Bridge to St Paul's.
After the National Gallery, walk to Covent Garden. Or visit Wimbledon, if you want to - but it's a long way from Trafalgar Square - I suppose you can visit the Tennis grounds there.
