4 college guys, 10 days london, suggestions?

Well in early march, me and three of my buddies are going to london for 10 days. All of us have been there before and done the siteseeing. So I was wondering if anyone could suggest something wild or off the beaten path.

Thanks,
Terrence

Wild? Go to Amsterdam via train or Paris! Student discounts abound. Also, have you gone to Dublin yet? Have you seen the new Tate Gallery/The Eye? What are your exact interests?

Terrence, if you've all been to London before and seen the "majors," maybe you do want to consider venturing away from the city for at least part of your trip. But that depends a bit...when you say you've seen the sights, do you mean a whirlwind two-day trip through London, or do you mean you've each visited for at least four or five days and had time to see a bit more? If we know what you already *have* seen, we might be able to tell you better what constitutes "wild" or "off the beaten path" in your case.

If you have actually seen a fair amount of London, then I'd say spend at least a couple of those ten days somewhere else. Bath and the west country (Glastonbury, Wells, Salisbury) make for a good one- to three-day side trip from London, depending on your interests. If you like castles, Hampton Court, Windsor, and Warwick castles are also close to London (the first two within an hour, the latter a bit further but still day-trippable), and there's been a lot of discussion here lately on the various merits of each.

Terrence -- I did Amsterdam as a long-weekend trip from London with a group of 5 friends several years ago -- it was a blast. You can get very cheap fares from London -- I highly recommend it. Great nightlife, wonderful culture -- the works.

Also, if you haven't been to Cambridge, it's an easy daytrip from London & fun to see what a British "university town" is like.

I also liked Bath a lot, but I don't know if that's up your alley -- might be too sedate for a bunch of guys your age...
