Hi Leslie; I'm back to tell you how jazzed I am about this Auto Europe offer. I have only rented cars from them in the past. They just sold me a fare for $289 r.t. from Dallas to London in April. From there I will go on to Spain. I hope you don't mind my asking you, but do you know who could get me to Madrid from London at a low fare? I've been searching around but so far no luck. Thanks again, Rebecca

Rebecca, I'm glad that you are psyched -- what a bargain airfare you got. That ticket price you got to London from Dallas, is a price I normally see from Boston. Glad I provided some information that can help you.

Try these inter-European airlines, but I don't know which specific ones will fly from London to Madrid, and you might have to transfer from Heathrow to Gatwick, Luton, Stanisfeld, etc.

www.air-europa.com
www.iberia.com
www.easyjet.com
www.virgin-express.com
www.go-fly.co.uk
www.buzzaway.com
www.ryanair.com
Also check with British Airways -- www.britishairways.com

Rebecca, when you do return from Spain, will you give me all the details? I'm going to Spain in the spring of 2003. If you need brochures contact the Spanish Department of Tourism in NYC -- I received a lot of brochures (about 4 pounds worth), and they are excellent.

Let us know about the bargain fare you find from London to Madrid.

Nice of you to post this, Leslie; what a great fare.

I wonder if Auto Europe would still give us that deal if our bodies were in Seattle...but our hearts were in San Francisco? :~)

I've rented cars twice through Auto Europe and have nothing but good things to say about their people, service, and prices.

I bought my ticket thru Auto Europe, SEA->CDG April 3-11 for $441 (including all taxes & fees). I am flying American, the only drawback being a 12-hr stopover in Chicago, but I know people there so it will be nice to catch up. I had a really great experiecne booking with them, got my email itinerary right away and a paper itinerary a week later.
