3 days between Porto and Lisbon- is renting a car a must?

Jump to last reply

My husband and I are going to spend a few days in Porto, then 3 days in Coimbra- Alcobaça- Obidos, then off to 8 days in Lisbon in early July. I started looking for car rental rates for those 3 days, and now I wonder if we can get by using public transportation instead of renting a car? We are not that fond of driving, and I was also wondering if parking would be a problem in these three cities. We are planning to get to a city, park the car and discover by foot, so after all do we need a car?
Any advice will really be appreciated. Thank you!
