Revised Itinerary – 2 weeks in April
I decided on 3 nights in Wicklow because I have not been there yet, and wanted to break up the 2 night stays. Hopefully 1 night in Kinsale will just whet my appetite to come back.
April 1 – arrive Shannon
Drive to Cliffs
Stay in Doolin ( Cullinan’s?)
April 2nd & 3rd – Drive on to Athlone
See Castle/ Crystal/ Mullingar / Lockes distillary?
Stay in Athlone
April 4th – 6th 3 nights Drive to Wicklow area
Powers court
Glendalough
General touring
Stay??? Blessington???
April 7th – 8th Drive to Kilkenny –
See castle , misc other
Stay? Laurels?
April 9th – Drive to Kinsale via Waterford Crystal
See if we can do dinner at Old Head.???
Wander around town

April 10th – 12th Drive to Killarney
Muckross House, Ring of Kerry / Dingle penn.
Shop!
Stay – Crystal Springs B&B
April 13th – drive to Bunratty via Tarbert Ferry

Tour castle too.

I live in Waterford. Not much to really do that I can think of. I did the walking tour a couple of years ago when at school. Seemed nothing special.

Cait, I am leaving here in two weeks for Ireland (cross your fingers that my passport actually gets here). Would you be willing to e-mail me? I have several questions about the Southern region. Yep - did both Cashel & Cahir on the first trip over. ( Got some FANTASTIC pictures at Cashel - I even blew them up and framed them!).
Also did Galway & Kylemore.

Yeh sure you can mail me. I live on the Waterford/Tipperary Border. As the aboce said the Rock of Cashel and Cahir House (and maybe the swiss cottage) are good things to do. Personally would prefer to see those than stay around in Waterford.
