24 December Hours in Iceland?

Jump to last reply

We are flying to Europe via Icelandair during the holidays, and can spend at most 24 hrs in Reykjavik, either on the way over or on the way back to the States. Unfortunately with a tight schedule we can't afford to spend any more on the stop over.

Is it worth it to spend 24 hrs there, given that there's not going to be much daylight in December? I can only guess that Blue Lagoon may be worth a stop, but Golden Circle or anything beyond Reykjavik is going to be out of the question, it seems.

If it isn't worthwhile, I'd rather try to visit Iceland when it's warmer and when we have more time.

Cheers,

William
