2 Weeks in France: Rouen, Normandy, Dordogne and the Loire Valley
My wife and I just spent 2 perfect weeks in France. We've been a few times before, but this trip's itinerary was new for us. We flew into Paris, stayed for a night and then headed west to Rouen and Normandy (with stops in Honfleur, Mont Saint-Michel, Bayeux, D-Day beaches) and then headed south to the Dordogne/Perigord, ending our trip in the Loire. Last year we did Provence and the French Riviera, which were unbelievable....but we are now as equally in love with the north and west of the country. I keep a travel blog mainly for family and friends (remember the old days when a relative would have a long, boring slide show of their trips abroad) but I like to post links to my blog to help fellow travelers. We had terrible internet service (my only complaint) while traveling, so I have not caught up on all of my posts, particularly the ones about the Loire and the Dordogne, but I think my posts give a good taste of what to expect in Rouen and Normandy. Enjoy and happy travels. https://jonestravelblog.com/

Your blog is a real treat. I started with your appreciation of the Metropolitan and could tell right away I would like your writing and your approach.
Your photos are spectacular.
As soon as I wash dishes I'll be back to pick up where I left off, with your first day out of Paris.
Thanks for writing the blog and for letting us know about it.

Thanks so much for posting such a wonderful blog. It's so interesting and the photos are beautiful. I am visiting the Loire Valley and the Dordogne next month so I have read with special interest.

Nice blog. I need to go back and read the whole thing, but I did check out your day on the Dordogne where you went through Beynac. We rented a house on the road that leads from the village up to the chateau, about 150 yards from the chateau entrance (it appears in one of your pictures) in 2011, and heard more than a few people huffing, puffing, and cussing, as they neared the end of the climb.
