2 Weeks 3 Cities

First time posting here...

I am trying to plan a 2 week trip to Europe from 12/26/2016-1/11/2017 with my 2 brothers and 1 sister. We are all in our young 20s and I just studied abroad in Valencia, Spain last semester so I know a good amount about Spain.

Anyways I thought 3 cities would be a good amount for that time period. Barcelona is the only city that we have agreed upon as a must go. A city in Italy would make sense since it is close and we were thinking about Berlin as well but were not sure if it is too far of a trek.

Which city would you all recommend in Italy and would you advise not venturing over to Eastern Europe? We are trying to see/experience as much as possible in a short amount of time.

Thanks!

Are you walking?
This is walking/car-centric thinking.
If you fly/train, the relevant metric is TIME not DISTANCE.
For example:
BCN-FCO is a 1 h 45 min flight.
BCN-TXL is a 2 h 30 min flight.

Is Berlin that much "further" than Rome in this sense?

Yea you are right. I guess Barcelona>Italy>Berlin trip would be the one that we target. Does anyone have recommendations for Italy/Berlin I want to start putting together an itinerary.

Go to skyscanner.com. Search BCN to IT, direct flights only. Then try italian airports to Berlin.

Thank you. I am more concerned about what I need to see in Florence or Rome and Berlin if any of you all have experience there.

In Italy I'd go to Rome. Or Venice. For such a relatively short trip, these cities would be perfect.

Would you be prepared for snow in Berlin? With possible transport disruptions?

"I am more concerned about what I need to see in Florence or Rome and Berlin..."

Wouldn't you have thought about this before deciding where you want to go??

I live in Italy, and could help you with deciding where to go if you tell me some more about your interests.

Click on the menu at top left of this page. You will see Destinations which can give you lots on info on those three cities. We don't know if you love art museums for example. Please share your interests here to receive more specific suggestions..

Yes we would love to sight see however not spend too much time in museums. My group is more intrigued by architecture, scenery, and experiences. We also love to eat and drink !

For such broad questions like that, I'd go to the library and get a couple guidebooks and read for yourself. Look at the photos.

Everyone's experiences here are all well and good, and can help once you've got a general outline for your trip set... but they may or may not apply to what YOU and your siblings are interested in, in each place.
