A portion of my boyfriend and my first trip to Europe this September will be to Edinburgh, Scotland. We will only be there 2 days (Thursday and Friday night) and are looking for some hotel recommendations! We are both our mid-20s, would love to be in walking distance of the main attractions of the city (or what we can see in 2 days) and have a budget of about $150 (US Dollars) per night! We are still in the early stages of planning but would love some helpful tips to get us started! Any favorite hotels out there? Thanks!

You may need to use a B&B since a Fri/Sat nights booking will at a premium.
this one is in a fabulous location and is very nice. But it is 3 flights up w/ no lift (4 flights up to most of the rooms) if that is important.

This one is in a good/central location.

I really enjoyed my stay at Elderfields Guest House. It looks out over Arthurs Seat, has lovely decor, a warm and friendly hostess that makes a good breakfast, and it is only a 10 min. walk from the Royal Mile. Price is reasonable and the rooms all have ensuite bathrooms.

stevedatraveler: By any chance are you advertising that website? The thread is a year old and the OP's trip was last September . . . .
