2 Days in Provence

Jump to last reply

My husband and I have 2 days to spend touring the villages around Provence. We have never been in the area and would appreciate some guidance with where to stop and what is on the top of the must see list.

We have a car and are driving from Montpellier toward Provence. We are overnight in Marseilles, but mostly because we found affordable lodging, the goal of these 2 days are to experience Provence and the entire area.

Here is a quick list of the recommended stops, in no particular order. I need to limit it to what is doable in 2 days and split it into 2 days itineraries. Feel free to add any others in the area that I don't have listed here- these are all just areas I've gotten recommended verbally but know nothing about.

Help!

We love to stroll through beautiful vistas, see lavender fields and visit medieval cities, shopping, museums etc.

Day 1- Start in Montpellier end in Marseilles
Day 2- Start and end in Marseilles

Gordes- highly recommended
Saint Remy de Provence
Le Baux
Vitrolles
Rognac
Rousillon
Cavaillon
