2-3 week trip to Italy,France, Switzerland, & Greece

We want to plan a vacation in the Spring- May or June 2-3 weeks going to Italy (Rome) (Florence), France (Paris) ,Switzerland( Luzerne) and Greece (Athens and other cities).
How is the weather during that time? Sunny? temperature?
Will we be able to see it all in 3 weeks?
How should we plan our itinerery?

If you want to just visit Rome, Florence, Paris, Lucerne and Athens you might be able to do it in 3 weeks (4 nights each) but you'd lose quite a bit of time travelling between cities. To me, it seems like you're jumping all over the place but you may have special reasons for picking these cities. How do you plan to travel between them? I assume at least some flights so the earlier you book them the better.

For weather check travel planner on www.wunderground.com. It will be warm to hot.

Most people would recommend seeing a smaller area in the time you have available.

How about going to Paris-- fly to Florence-- train to Rome-- fly to Athens? Skip Switzerland this time? Flying from Rome to Athens is easy. Spending more time in each place.

Early May is beautiful in Rome and Florence. And not full of tourists. We were in Rome one May 6, and all the azaleas on the Spanish Steps were blooming.

You may travel from Paris to Lucerne, Switzerland by train, it is about 4 and half hours. When you are ready to leave Lucerne, take trains from Lucerne to Florence.

To look up train schedules and connections, go to http://www.bahn.de,
click on the language flag of your choice to change the interface.
