2. Is a Portugal/Spain rail pass a good idea?
3. Grenada worth it if i dont want to see the alhambra? Is cafiz worth it? Nerja? Ronda?
4. Rough start:
- day 1:fly into Barcelona early morning 9am have all day to sightseeing and relax
-day2:go to figures or a day to visit dali museum etc. (may leave this out...not sure) travel by either train or bus if i decide not to do this day trip i'd probably just kick around Barcelona for the day

-day4:fly to ibiza from Barcelona takes about an hour early morning
-days4-6: party/beaches in ibiza
-day7: fly to Sevilla from ibiza early morning or night before

Sevilla is fantastic. Check out the Alemeda de Hercueles and Triana areas for the best nightlife. In Alemeda de Hercules thousands of people will be on the street and in all the bars till 4 am (at least in the week-ends). In Triana, one of the most important cradles of flamenco culture, anything can happen. Start the evening along riverside Calle Betis and then move on to some of the clubs.

Nightlife in Sevilla: http://www.exploreseville.com/la-marcha.htm
When it comes to parties and beaches, you should go to Torre del Mar, just east of Málaga city and close to Nerja. Popular with young Spanish tourists who come here, especially from July to September, for the three mile long beach and night long parties/discos. Some hundred bars in the area known as El Copo:

Nerja is also great fun. Nine small and large beaches set among the cliffs. Plaza Tutti Frutti is the nightlife centre:

Free delicious tapas to chose with every beer/wine/whatever in almost all tapas bars/restaurants in town (1-1,50€). Walk from bar to bar, and have a five course meal with five glasses of wine for some 6-7€...
I've used to stay in great value Hostal Mena right in the middle of everything. Single/double room with seaview terrace, some 30-45€ at the most: http://www.hostalmena.es/hostal/eng/

... Alameda de Hercules (Sevilla): http://www.sevilla5.com/activities/g...-hercules.html
And I would recommend you stay more time in Barcelona. Does't get much better than this if you're looking for party and beach. Normally people stay on the Barceloneta beach until sunset, and then it just goes on. http://www.all-barcelona-guide.com/e...e/district_13/
I've stayed at basic and good value Hostal Orleans. Ten mins walk to the Barceloneta beach and on the edge of the vibrant El Born area:

Cadiz is a really nice, old city on an island surrounded by water. One of my favorite cities in Spain to hang around in for a few days. You might give it a miss though if you want to visit cities with a lively night life. There are better options. I would also cut out Granada if you don't want to visit the Alhambra which I think you SHOULD visit! Granada is a nice city though but so are a lot of cities in Spain.
I would spend some more time in Barcelona, I think you will love it!
Malaga is a fun city with a good night life. Close to Nerja recommended by kimhe and a good base for exploring Ronda which is really beutiful. I found Nerja really pretty and well worth visiting but the night life... hm... well this was some years ago and things might have changed.
After being in Spain you will get used to eat dinner at 10 in the evening. Crossing the border to Portugal you will get surprised when they start closing down the place when you are just about to order your food. This will probably not happen on the Algarve coast but in Lisbon many places close very early compared to in neighbouring Spain.
Have fun on your trip!
