14 days in Greece itinerary ???

Jump to last reply

Hi! I have booked two weeks in Greece and have decided where I would like to go but I am not sure how to split the time for each place. We fly in and out of Athens this July 2 - 16, 2017. We want to see the Athens area for the monuments but not the beaches. We would like to see Delphi, Meteora, maybe Corinth and Nafplio but not a must, Corfu if time allows but not necessary, Santorini for sure but don't know how long we should stay. We want to also ferry over to Milos because we really like being out in the water and seeing the unusual rocks and caves and exploring the water. We are not so much interested in the beach type places like Naxos or Mykonos that are flat with lots of people. We like the rocky cays with small sandy beaches to explore. We plan to fly to Santorini and ferry to Milos and hopefully if the planes run on the day we leave Milos, fly back to Athens. We can rent a car or train/bus on the mainland. Whichever is most relaxing and convenient. We are very budget minded and will choose Airbnb type hotels but with pools and a/c. If they have a view that's even better. We are hoping to only spend 60/70$ day for our hotels. We have found many that fit this budget but if anyone has a great suggestion regarding a place to stay or area to stay we would love and appreciate your advice.

Is it possible to include Corfu for a day or two or would we be too hurried? We don't want to miss Meteora and don't know how long to budget for there to really enjoy it. We are not sure how long to plan for the islands. We are already seeing a lot of ruins on the mainland so we don't need to plan to see ruins there as well. We just want the slow relaxing time there and to see the unique blue waters of the Greek islands.

We also are extreme sport lovers, especially in the water like river rafting etc. We love boating but can't fit it into our budget to sail for days on end.

Does anyone have a suggestion for an itinerary?

Thanks,

Wazzumama
