1/2 day cycling Canal du Garonne, France
Can anyone recommend a section of the Canal du Garonne which would be suitable for an approximate 1/2 day cycle in June? Is there an area which goes through olive groves and has some shade, and where could we hire the bikes as the start off spot, as we cannot carry them to another area in the hire car.
Thank you

type 'canal garonne' or 'canal de la Garonne' - La garonne is female, as with a lot of rivers in french. (I think all of them actually).
Some smaller streams are male and 'fleuves' (rivers going into the sea) are male in Belgium as LE Rhône in France but La Seine and la Gironde, so no rule there in France.
That was the 2 min of the French lesson !
merci beaucoup pour votre attention et à bientôt pour une autre règle grammaticale (foireuse) de Whatello...

you are a mine of information, What.
May I reciprocate with any rules of english grammar that trouble you?

Yep, of course you are correct...no olive groves in that area. Obviously got my grapes and olives confused. Thanks for the French lesson and websites, I had previously checked these but getting the specific info is seemingly not available. Cheers
