10 nights Tuscany & Lake Como - any "don't miss" with kids?

Jump to last reply

We are soon spending 5 nights in an agriturismo near Volterra, followed by 5 nights in an apartment near Varenna.

I have read most of the boards in my millions of hours of research but I'm looking for any last-minute wonderful "don't miss" ideas.

We are lucky to be living in Germany for a few years, so in recent months we've been to the Top of Europe in Switzerland, been to the top of Germany's highest mtn (not all that high - but definitely spectacular), sledded Germany's longest sledding run (6.5m and awesome), and enjoyed many memorable days in Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Belgium, etc. Capri, Ischia, Majorca - loved it all!

I'm not looking for the biggest ball of yarn (although I see that Varenna is home to Italy's SHORTEST river - ha!). I just don't want to miss something fabulous that I might not have stumbled upon yet...

So, please throw out any ideas you have. I thoroughly appreciate it! Thanks!
