Will be travelling from Venice to Rome on Monday Feb 11. Noticed most of the 98 euro economy fares on the Trenitalia website are sold out. Most trains with the more convenient schedules only show the 160 euro fare. Are there other options for a fast train to Rome, or should I grab up seats on one of the remaining trains with an the economy seats? Thanks

I see a lot of 49€ fares for that route/day.
The 98€ is either for 2 people or you checked round trip (49€ per person one way). I don't see any of the really cheap super economy fares that day, but 49€ is still quite a discount for that route. There were at least a dozen trains listed for that date with the 49€ rate (regular fare is 80€).
Italo Rail, the new train company, has seats for 42€.

Thanks. You are correct, 2 persons were entered, and the time was set at 22 hours so it was defaulting to the next day. The 49E fare looks great and I will lock this in. Thanks for pointing out the error.
