Winter Cruises- too cold?

First time trip to Caribbean in late December/early January? Anyone had good or bad luck with weather during this time? I was also wondering if the water would be too cold. Any experiences to share?

The weather should be fine in the Caribbean and the water is always warm since the air temperature is hot.

If you leave from Florida the weather may be cool for those that live in the southern states and feel warm to those that live in the northern states.

Paul

You didn't say whether it was the Eastern or Western Caribbean. The Eastern Caribbean is usually very windy around that time, but I have been there many times and the water is always perfect, and the air is warm during the day, and the evenings are nice and cool. We've been luck and not had any rain during the winter. What's your itinerary?

Paul,
I live in Dallas. It's hot in the summer, but it gets cold in the winter . . . sometimes!

If you have any stops in the Bahamas it could be cool or even cold....same with Florida. However, the Caribbean in general is warm or hot year around. You'll be out of hurrricane season, so you should be fine.
