Will I be bored on Celebrity's Millenium?
We just booked a ten-day Ultimate Caribbean cruise for June 21 on the Millenium. I'm in my 20s, and although I'm not into alcohol or the party scene, I'm not into casinos, wine tasting, cigars, or artwork. Is there enough to keep me entertained on the ship? There is only so much sitting by the pool, working out, and sunbathing one can do.

I can't exactly afford spa treatments or additional fancy dinners. Is this ship stuffy or boring for young people?

Because it was all we could afford and we were lookng for a trip for all of us to go together. We've never cruised before and wanted to try at least one cruise in our lifetime. I'm actually really excited about the islands and shore excursions - excellent itinerary (for our interests anyway):

Fort Lauderdale
St Maarten
St Lucia
St Kitts
Barbados
St Thomas
Fort Lauderdale

I've just heard that Celebrity is a more sophisticated, elegant ship, and that some people complained there wasn't enough to do. With two, 2-day spans at sea, I just wondered about this.

I don't want Carnival, but I was just wondering if RCCL is a little more on the "fun" side?

Hi Melba,

Here is a list of things you might like for a day at sea:

Walk-a-mile; getting started with windows, internet and e-mail; morning quiz; eat more, weigh less; Word 97, desktop publishing; volleyball; bad hair day; jewelry talk; team trivia; Excel 97 - spreadsheets; movie time; another movie time; ladies golf competition; vegetable carving; facial demonstration; ping pong tournament; fitness fashion show; gents golf competition; bridge play; anti-cellulite workshop; bingo; another movie; perfume seminar; basketball; poolgames; art of massage & aromatherapy. After dinner is the entertainment in all the lounges and the showroom.

If all this does not keep you busy on this country-club ship you should not cruise.

Paul
