Which side to choose for Northbound?
Planning an Alaska cruise northbound from Vancouver to Seward. Will have a balcony room. Is there are preferred side of the ship to choose? P or S?

I would say when you are facing the front the right side is the most scenery if you decide to stay on your balcony. I had a balcony off the back of our ship and the first day we spent on the balcony watching the coast on the right side. Other than that I don't think it matters much.

Agree - starboard if you can get it. Although through much of the Inside Passage there will be scenary out both sides. We did the southward journey from Seward to Vancouver and were only able to get a starboard cabin when we wanted port. But we still had some great stuff to look at. And when we were in Glacier Bay and College Fjord we were up on deck so we could go back and forth easily.
