When is weather the best for Alaska cruise & tour?
Trying to decide between May, June or July.
I realize at best that Alaska isn't usually sun bathing weather, but there are times of the year that inclement weather is more likely.
Need opinions as to which month is best.

May, last week of August and September is consider shoulder season. It rained every trip that we have taken to Alaska. On one trip last year in late August, it rained everyday. With that said, there were breaks throughout the day and we managed to hike on some trails (wet!) and many tours. The only thing that was cancelled s the float plane to Misty Fjord and that's because of fog and low visibility than anything else. We enjoyed the trip just the same. Most tour operators have umbrellas available on their buses that you can borrow and use. SOme ships kept umbreallas in the cabin that you can use as well.
The last 2 week in June and the first 2 week in July will give you the best chance of more sunshine. Just keep in mind that the key word is chance. There is no guarantee.
