What Do Alcoholic Beverages Cost Anyways?

I've ordered several books and they just don't answer a few questions I have. If anyone can help with the details. What are the costs if you've cruised on Celebrity, RCCL and Princess?:
Coors Light Beer:
Mini Bottle:
Mixed Drink:
Glass of wine (avg):
can of Coke:
Liter of water:
Okay, the next question is, normally how many pillows are in the rooms?
Last question, what denomination are the blackjack tables normally?? ie.. $5, $10
Alright, I think that's it. Thanks to all who can help. I sure appreciate it. I'm just trying to plan out how much I'll be spending. I can't wait regardless of price.
Hi Skyla,

All cruise lines have different prices. They also have different minimums for blackjack.

Pillows ..... who knows. If you want extra, just ask the steward.

Have fun.

Paul

Skyla - it also depends on the itinerary. Coors Light, for example, is priced different for the Caribbean than the Mediteranean - on a med cruise, Coors Light is an import beer, not a domestic. Conversely, a beer like Heinekin is cheaper in the Med.

I'm traveling to the Carribean and have narrowed the cruiseline down to Celebrity's Galaxy, RCCL Brilliance of the Sea or the Dawn Princess. Is there anyone out there that has traveled on some of these ships (except the Brilliance, of course, but maybe the Radiance) and could give me an approx for the questions I have.
Thanks a ton!

Princess:

Mixed drink - $4.95 & up
Domestic beer - $3 or $3.50
Soda - $1/fountain or $1.50/can
Wine by the glass - $5.50 & up
Water - I'm guessing around $3 & up

You can always ask your room steward for more pillows. I don't gamble.

Forgot to mention that you have to add a 15% automatic gratuity to the prices that I posted above.

Skyla,
The blackjack tables on RCCL were mostly $5. Also, on RCCL you can buy a drink card which will save you money, depending upon what you like to drink.
Have fun!
Sorry, I better elaborate .... The Fountain Cards are for soft drinks ... $19.95 for adults and kids.

The Royal Cocktail Coupons are for liquor ( not premium brands, not minibar in cabin). $39.00 plus 15% tax will buy you 12 coupons.

Above is for Royal Caribbean.

Enjoy,

Paul

Good catch Paul - you got yourself before I could. Folks - he got caught over on mytravelco.com message board with the same mistake and someone called him on it so he came back over here to correct himself.

The only point being made is for people reading Paul's posts that state the "facts" - you'd better wait a day or so before you react to his suggestions to see if he makes a retraction or someone else points out the mistakes.

What ever they charge it's to expensive and then they hit you with a 15 to 17 percent service charge. Unreal !! For what an unsmiling robot who pours a measured shot and expects a tip on top of the house charge because he/she are breathing ? I'm not cheap and have a tendency to over tip for service and personality but I hate it when the tip is automatically added to the check.
Hi Bob,

How do you suggest tipping the bar waiters? Give them each envelopes at the end of the cruise?

I do not believe there is any way around the practice unless they eliminate tipping altogether.

Paul
