Can anyone help, with Voyager this October in Med we have the option of a forward Penthouse A on Deck 9 or Pent B aft on Deck 7 (near laundry - an issue?).
What about vibrations, anchor noise? Any experts out there can help me decide please? There is only $1000 difference between the A and B which we don't mind paying if we get a smoother, quieter cabin deck 9. ???? thanks
Voyager Penthouse foward or aft?

Seven Seas Voyager or Voyager of the Seas? (these cruise lines aren't very inventive in naming ships, are they?)
Sorry, Regent Seven Seas... I've been reading about vibrations aft and have nearly decided to go with the forward Deck 9... but anchor noise?
thanks
I guess it depends on what bothers you. My mother and I had a deck 7 aft penthouse. The vibration bothered her a bit, but I didn't notice it. The proximity of the laundry is not an issue--it's configured so that you barely notice it's there.
Re the anchor, I don't know if it's very audible up on 9. You might look at your proposed itnerary to see if the ship is going to be arriving or leaving any ports while you're sleeping, then find out whether the ship docks or drops anchor at those ports. I had a cabin on the Mariner where I could hear the anchor, but the sound never lasted for long and fortunately only once was an early morning event.
