Thinking of booking a cruise on Viking Riverboat Line. I understand they are new to the US. Has anyone been on any of their cruises? Hoping to go from Amsterdam to Vienna. Does anyone have any other riverboat cruises they could recommend.

I wouldn't recommend Viking. We were encouraged to book a trip early with them to get a "great" early booking discount, and lately they slashed their price by $2500 and wouldn't give us a reasonable adjustment. I don't think that's very good customer service.
We took a trip on Uniworld and few years ago and it was fabulous. I would highly recommend them. And I think they were less expensive than Viking.
Sorry about nelle's experience, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Viking. We did their Footsteps of the Czars in 2007 and it was absolutely wonderful. One of our best trips ever. Our stateroom was small, but very efficient, including the Yacht style bathroom. The boat you would be taking Adele would be much more luxurious and the itinerary sounds great.
We were fortunate to get a 2-for-1 rate and I receive e-mails from them all the time with similar offers. We would love to cruise with them again and have been looking at the Amsterdam to Budapest itinerary.
If you have any specific questions, don't hesitate to e-mail me. Although our trip was different, I'll answer if I can. giovannatravels@yahoo.com
