The Baltic - When itinerary means everything
This was a cruise that was seriously on the bucket list - We looked a lot at the various routes and various timescales and for us in the end we settled with this route because it really gave us all we needed. We were so lucky (I know as we had spent a year watching and reading friends reports on the rain and clouds) - the weather was 90% perfect. Also the third party company we settled on for our tours were fantastic in all the ways you would want. - small groups, great transport and most importantly fantastic guides (and yet still cheaper than the cruise companys)

Great trip report - thanks. I looked at that NCL itinerary all Spring but since we're not cruisers I thought it had too many at sea days for us. I consequently booked a shorter RCL cruise but had to cancel it when the dates conflicted with our house sale.
Baltic cruise back on the front burner for next year so will look seriously again at NCL.

I'm looking for info on the Viking Baltic Cruise. The itinerary is exactly what we want but we can't seem to get "typical" passenger responses to the seas themselves. Are they rougher in that part of the world? Do passengers have higher rates of seasickness? If you come with your own medications, is that helpful?
In other words, information on the experience of the sailing ship vs the itinerary is what we're trying to get information on.
Thanks
