It's been a while since I did this, but its usually quicker and cheaper than using the cruise lines buses.
Miami has a "Zone" system whereby you pay a set price to go to that zone. As I recall it's probably about $20, BUT that is for the cab with up to 4 passenger. So you don't have to worry about paying for each person, just one price for the cab ride, not per-person.
Cabs are plentiful at the airport and the cruise ships and move you quickly as they want to return to service as soon as possible. I dont think we ever spent more than 20 minutes in the cab from the airport to the ships or vice/versa.
Have fun and USE the cabs, they are your best option.
Three years ago it was $18 flat rate per cab, no matter how many people. Now I would think $25-$30 due to gas cost increase.
22$-24$
Took cab today from cruiseport to MIA airport - 3 people with 3 suitcases. Charge was "off meter" (probably not legal) and was $24.
It is a flat rate. 2 years ago we paid about $25 for 4 people plus tip. It's very easy to get a cab.
