Hello Group,
We are planning to go transatlantic on the Star this April.
I would appreciate any info re the ship, service, etc.,
This will be our first crossing in 50 yrs! The last time I went was on the QE and Queen Mary...
We've been cruising ever since, but not transatlantic.
Much thanks
Linda

We cruised her in 2007 in the Baltic. For us as was very good. we had no issues with the food, service or any aspects of the ship and our special food requests (Indian) were met beyond expectations. For a wonderful view go to Skywalkers lounge which is practically top deck aft. I still remember how at 0200 in the morning (we were there in June, white nights) in seemed you could see the cusp between nigth and the new day. Have fun.
Larry
thank you Larry.
Been on the Star, but not a TA cruise. We love TA cruises, but enjoy the smaller ships much better, as you do have a more intimate experience. We are taking the Windsurf home from Lisbon to Barbadoes in the fall...we meet some of the nicest people, and have time and leisure to get to know them well, love being on the sea, sailing with only sail power, getting to know the staff well, and the fun that we make for each other, games, dancing, etc. Just my point of view.
The Star, however, is a wonderful ship..we took it around the continent of S. America and enjoyed it very much...a beautiful ship..classy.
Hi Linda (themrsg)
I am on that cruise also. Have never sailed on the Star Princess. There are nearly 200 of us that have met on the Star Princess Transatlantic thread on the Cruise Critic Board. We are planning tours, trivia teams, book review groups, etc over there. We'd love to have you join us. Many of the cruise critic members have sailed on the Star many times and LOVE it. Go to the website cruisecritic.com and then click on "Boards" on the menu bar. Once on the boards screen, scroll down to "roll calls" click on Princess, then click Star Princess and you'll find the 24 April Transatlantic thread. You will need to pick a screen name to log in (join) but there is never any charge and no e-mails unless you want. The most informative site I have EVER used. All of your cruise questions will be answered here...Hope to see you on that thread. Look for me...Elsie3939
