St. Peter Port & Hauteville House

Our Princess cruise In Sept. includes a day in St. Peter Port, Guernsey. Wondering if Victor Hugo's Hauteville House is within walking distance of the tender drop off point. Also, is the famous little chapel within walking distance? We plan on walking to Castle Cornet. All info and input is appreciated.

You might want to post also on the Europe forum (and on Cruise Critic). There are a couple of Fodorites who know a lot about the Channel Islands but I don't think I've ever seen either one on the Cruise board . . .

Everything is within walking distance. If you want to go to Victor Hugo's house, get tickets in advance. It is alway full because of the cruise ships. You can get the tickets online throught the house website. They are very nice and easy to deal with.
