I would like to hear everyone else's opinion as to what are some "must" activities on the following Southern Caribbean ports. We have been to those ports before, some more than once so we have done most of the usual stuff: beaches, light house, city tour etc. We want a different and uniquely local experiences.
The list is as follow:
St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands Dominica, Grenada, Bonaire, Aruba
All comemnts are welcomed. We are leaving in Mid-April before the Easter long weekend.

Like I heard someone say recently, the thing to do in St Thomas is to go to St Johns. It's prettier and probably safer. On Aruba, we rented a 4 wheel drive and road down the eastern side of the island. It was interesting. Otherwise, Aruba is pretty uninteresting. Except for Martinique, the island I would most like to avoid.
In Dominica you MUST take the overhead tram through the rain forest..and then walk along the jungle floor when it stops...it was a highlight of our trip from the Amazon to Ft. Lauderdale

In Aruba there is a small church called St. Nicholas I think. Its sort of out in the Aruban outback as I like to call it but it has a spectacular hard carved wooden altar and pulpit that is hundreds of yrs. old. I think it was made in Europe and brought over and its very much worth seeing. try going to www.aruba.com and you can ask the name of it there. Bon dia.
