On a 18-day (100 passenger) Antarctica cruise, we're being offered a triple with private bath instead of triple with shared bath for an extra $1000/person added cost. Anyone have any experience with shared baths and if the cost savings was worth it in the end?
Not sure if the crew use the shared baths too or if just the other passenger cabins. Thanks for any thoughts you have.
Shared baths - worth the savings?

I don't even like sharing a bath with my husband, so sharing one with strangers wouldn't be for me!
Sahred bath is very common on old European hotels. For a $1000, I'll take the shared bath. It is a bit of an inconvience, but you will learn to live with it. You pick a time to shower when it is less busy, you will get up earlier to use the facilities.
I think it is up to individual’s choice. If you are comfortable and trying to save some $$s, you can opt for it.
