September Cruise...lots of kids?

We're thinking of going on a 3 night cruise in late Sept. - on the Disney Wonder. (Never went on a cruise before.)

We're empty nesters & the thought of all those kids on board - well, it's making us think twice.

But, with school schedules, etc., just how many kids are on a September cruise? Also, will the boat be pretty full??? I thought it was the slower season...

Any insights would be appreciated! Thanks

Just curious why you would consider a Disney ship if you aren't sure you want to be around a lot of kids. I know they are beautiful ships, but there are a lot of other beauties out there as well.

I agree. It's a good cruiseline, but geared toward kids! Older kids will be in school, but still plenty of rugrats running around! SMALL rugrats!!! Try Royal Caribbean!

If you want to do a short cruise, beware. Some times they are the oldest and dinkiest ships. One exception is RCCL's Enchantment of the Sea doing 4 day cruises out of lauderdale. It's a nice ship and you should have an adult crowd in Sept.

Why Disney? Disney is for kids. There are other lines that will have less kids, but 3 night cruises will draw kids not matter what. LLinda is correct, many short cruises are older ships.
Look into a 7 day cruise.

It's probably best not to select a "family" oriented cruise if "all those kids" make you think twice.
