I am trying to convince some friends to join me on a New Year's Mexican Riviera cruise on Holland America's Ryndam. The 8 day cruise sails on Dec. 29th. Should we expect lots of kids? I have sailed on HAL 3x prior but never during the holidays. I know that an older crowd tends to frequent HAL and even though my friends and I are in our early 50s, we desire some peace and quiet. I am in need of advice here. Thanks.

We are going on a HAL cruise Fri (during Easter week) and I know there are at least 90 kids onboard.
We book directly thru' HAL and their Personal Cruise Consultant program and they have that kid count. They know ages of people for the manifest and for the Club HAL program.
Ask them before you decide. Holidays and summer are the big 'kid travel' times.
From what I have read and heard there will be lots of kids. This has always stopped me from booking New Years cruise.
