Royal Caribbean vs Carnival 2013 - the Triumph & Grandeur "fire ships"

Jump to last reply

I found this at Funville - there's a post showing their current positions (AIS ship tracking) at Freeport Bahamas. As you have probably heard about it, the Royal Caribbean's Grandeur of the Seas had a fire incident on May 27 http://www.shipcruise.org/royal-caribbean/411-grandeur-of-the-seas-itinerary-schedule this link also shows the Grandeur of the seas position (docked in Freeport for repairs, with 7 cruises officially cancelled). So the next ship ........ docked right next to the Grandeur is ................ Carnival Triumph this is the location link http://www.shipcruise.org/carnival/364-carnival-triumph-itinerary-schedule The OP at Funville have noticed also that both ships look in opposite directions :) - well, they serve rival companies after all, right! But currently these two cruise ships have their not happy silent time after experiencing fire accidents in 2013. The media is praising the Grandeur's crew, yet the fire on Grandeur burned for just over 2 hours, and the ship was fortunate to have been as close to land as they were and not to have lost power.
