Royal Caribbean cruises tipping guidelines/policy 2013 changes

(effective on RCI cruises from March 1 onward) by the new Royal Caribbean tipping policy, all guests will be charged on a daily basis $12 pp for guests in lower cabin categories (Inside-Oceanview-Balcony) and $14,25 pp (Suite). These "automatic tips" will be added to your shipboard account. Guests who are unsatisfied with their cabin attendant/dining room staff services will be able to adjust their tips (reduce or remove gratuities) at any time while on board the ship. Carnival has very similar policy about tipping on their cruise ships, so you can compare both at the following links:
