My fiance & I are deciding on 2 cruises for our Jan. honeymoon. 1. RC Seranade of the Sea from San Juan (stops at 5 different islands!) and the last day is at sea. #2. is the QM2 from Ft. Lauderdale (sails 1 day, stops for 3 days at 3 differnt islands then sails back for 2 more days). We can't decide. I'm concerned that the QM2 "at sea" days may get old (3 days!) I like that the RC stops 5 places. People have said we should try the QM for our honeymood cuz it's so very special. Can anyone shed some insight on this.. pros and cons of each? thanks! (we're getting a balcony.. RC would be on the 8th deck in middle of ship.. QM2 would be at back of ship, on 4th deck). Both are very close in price. thanks!

Flower:
The biggest difference you'll see is in the age of the passengers. RCL median age will be 35-40; QM2 median age will be "dead."
If you want entertainment/activities geared toward younger, more active people, go with RCL. If you want to be surrounded by seasoned citizens, pick the QM2.
Congratulations on your marriage and enjoy your honeymoon!
I think you'll find more in common with fellow passengers Entertainment tends to be geared toward the passeng
Hi Flower89:
If you were in my office, I'd have to say "I hear you trying to justify what you REALLY want over the well meaning suggestions of friends". That's understandable.
It comes through loud and clear that you really want to go on the Seranade of the Seas. So, my advice would be "its your honeymoon, do what you both want".
Again, your friends/family mean well, but this is your time, so make it the trip of a lifetime ... and only you can determine what that is. Both cruises sound wonderful.
Best wishes and congratulations!
