We are considering the Ruby Princess leaving FLL on Dec 12 for 7 nights. As college gets out early, this would be for our 2 college age kids and ourselves. Not worried for us, we are frequent cruisers, very adaptable. But, will the college kids (2 girls) find any others of their age group? They are 19, I forget if it is 18 or 21 drinking age on board. IIRC, you can play in the casino at 18, although they aren't too interested in that. Thoughts?
We would like to leave Dec 10-14 as this is much more affordable than full Xmas vacation. Any other suggestions?
Princess Cruises OK for college kids?

Probably a bit more activty for them on RCL or Carnival. The mood around the Princess is a bit more subdue. Most RCL ships has climbing wall etc, gearing more towards the younger crowd.
The minimum gambling age is 18, but minimum drinking age is 21.
Princess Cruises do cater for children but they tend to be for the really young under 17 years of age. I would sugget you give RCI or NCL a go as there are differrent activities cuitable for their age range like bowling alleys, ice rinks etc.
Have a read of some of the reviews on http://www.cruise.co.uk from other people who have been with their children. Generally speaking though their will lot more kids during the CHristmas period anyway
