My wife and I are going on the Princess Sapphire in December (14 days) out of Sydney. The ports of call are Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart, Fjordland National park, Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington, Tauranga, Bay of Islands, & Auckland. What are the best things to see in each port? Are any of these a "must see or must do?" Best to book through ship excursions or try to find private vendors in each port? Any suggestions as to best private tour companies by port? Thank You for your thoughts.
