Port Canaveral
Sailing into Port Canaveral in Dec. Understand the airport is 45 min. away. Any suggestions on the best way to get to the airport from cruise port. We usually take taxis to and from airports to cruise ports but the distance has never been this far.

The "best" & cheapest way may probably be a 1-way car rental.
This is a very frequent topic on Cruise Critic. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2263025

It's more like an hour with traffic. If you have a big group of people, a car rental may be the way to go. I'm not sold if it's just two of you.
And the big drawback to renting a car is that there are cashless tolls on the way to the airport, and you have to pay an extra fee to get a toll transponder (or you have to pay a huge fee). That alone adds about $10 to the cost of your rental.
There are, however, lots of companies that offer shuttles, as do all the cruise lines.

Doug, both tolls on the way to the airport can be paid in cash if you stay in the FAR RIGHT lane to pay. None are cashless. I believe the total is $2. There is no need for a toll transponder.
