Panama Canal Train/Bus Shore Excursion

First Hand Info. Please--
Would you be kind enough to describe the train and bus
trips, i.e. length, comfort, information, avail. of
food, ability to well see full canal and it's
operation, typical number of people on tour, other
high/low lights. My wife is reading "Path between the
Seas" and is interested in taking the tour that would
best reveal the totality of the canal--is this the
tour for her, or some other.

Thanks for your consideration of these questions from
a 65 and 64 yr. old (we get around quite well).
