Orient Beach-non ship excursion

Jump to last reply

Hi all cruisers, this is my 1st time doing Eastern Caribbean, going on Celebrity Reflection 12/12. We want to go to Orient Beach, but really don't want to do it for $177 for 3 with Celebrity(basically for transportation and lunch where they have set up) as we want to do our own thing, walk the beach grab a bite or beer here and there as looks likes lots of places up and down the beach and 21 year old son def wants to strip and go naked on nude side. So question is it feasible to grab a cab from the pier to drop us off and then are there cabs available when we are ready to leave? We have also thought of renting a car, looks like about $100 but hubby would rather not drive. Have no intention of cutting it close getting back to ship, so we were wanting to be at Orient beach from 9-2, gives us 3 hours before ship sails, is this feasible and how much approximately for a cab one way? Thanks for any help.
