On Cloud9, Miss Carnival Breeze
This was our second cruise on “The Breeze” and it turned out to be another six days of FUN. Passing time as we wait to set sail and for the safety briefing, we head straight for the "Mandatory Buffet". Next we make fruitless attempts to start the cruise off right with lots of cash in the “Winners Luck Casino”. Yeah, Right!
Unlike before we opt for a “Spa Package Room” room and end up on a quiet section of Deck 12. Buying the package ahead of time turns out to be well worth the money as we enjoy our time in the therapeutic pool and steam rooms.
We have about two days to relax and delight in some Breeze FUN, from dance lessons on the LIDO deck to a fierce competition of Bean Bag tossing it is all enjoyable. We replenish ourselves with cold drinks and more than one helping of the world famous “Guys Burger” and of course, soft serve ice cream. Our more than normal share of formal dining is a great time with great friends and an exceptional head waiter, Damir.
Our first port of call, Falmouth, Jamaica has us wasting away at Margaritaville with Red Stripe then at a nearby “Jamaican Beef Patty” stand we have some of the best tasting patties we have ever had.
Back onboard it is time for more Cloud9 time before watching a warm sunset from a portable cabana in the Serenity adults only area. This evening we bypass the formal dinner but not the Red Frog Caribbean Party where it is always FUN to join a “Congo Line” then watch some talented fellow cruisers see how low they can go.
A painless tendering process and soon we are in a community taxi headed for the Marriott Hotel at 7 Mile Beach in Grand Cayman. Not long after finding our spot the warm and beautiful Cayman waters beckons us and we accept the invitation. An artificial reef lies right off shore and the fish around are plentiful. The water is so clear that snorkeling gear is almost not necessary although you might find that some of the fish might consider your legs as bait.
As we sail for our next port of call, we spend another evening enjoying the nightlife on the Breeze. A ton of laughs in The Punchliner then it is some moves on the disco dance floor before again trying to get rich in the “Winner's Luck Casino”.
A relaxing day supporting the Mexican economy in Cozumel and it is time for about two days of sailing back to Miami. This gives us the opportunity for some more Cloud9 time and a chance to catch a show in The Ovation Theater. The Bobby Borgia show is amazing. How did he get all of the men to think of a wrist watch and all of the women to think about a Christmas tree is almost unbelievable.
Tonight it is dinner for two at Bosni. Although there was a $17 charge for this, the sushi was amazing and definitely worth it. A magic show nearby was also amazing. Just remember the answer is always, two.
Our last day at sea has a competition that we have never seen before, Miss Carnival Breeze. Although the men's “Hairy Chest” competition is still a crowdpleaser this competition was quite entertaining.

jacketwatch,
I wish they would have a "Balkan" restaurant or at least a food stand on board. I bet with so many employees from that part of the world you would probably get some tasty food.
Lucky you, I have not been to "Hell" yet but I hope someday I will

tch912,
Will have to a make the fiery journey during our next trip to Grand Cayman. This time the plan called for just beach time since one of our friends had never been to there. However, with so little shade at Seven Mile beach the sun was as hot as ...
On cruise hiatus until maybe an off season bargain comes along... like the Fascination in October

Thanks for leaving those burgers for us! I had 2 during the week. Only came home 4.4 lbs heavier. I did not love the new menus. The appetizers and desserts were good but many nights the entrees were not appealing and I ended up with the flatiron steak (not my fave either).
Also not a fan of Dr E the CD. I found him obnoxious and really disliked his mocking of a little girl during the Hasbro show. If I had been her mother I would have complained. It went over her head thankfully but it was pretty rude stuff he was doing in my opinion.
On to planning Vista in the Med for next summer.

trvlgirlmq,
Wow, only 2 burgers for the week.. I'm impressed
Yes, I think the food could use some improvement. Our waiter tried to steer us in the right direction on our choices based on his observation of what other diners enjoyed. No doubt he made our dining room experience a much better one.
I am disappointed to hear about your negative experience with Dr E. However, we had a good experience with Dr E to the point of him remembering our names at disembarkation. Still, Malcolm currently on "Splendor" is by far our favorite CD.
We are on the Vista in May ... If we go before you do I'll plan on again saving you some burgers but next time I expect better numbers
