We were on the Pacific Princess, which is identical to the Ocean Princess, being an R3 ship.
We have mainly crusied on the larger mass market ships so it was a new experience for us. DW was not sure about the smaller size at first but loved it once we were on board.
Everything we needed were there and closeby. They didn't have a theatre but have production at the cabaret, and the production shows had half the singers and dancers when coampred to the usual show on the larger ships.
We found the food better and service friendlier. We were on an East Med itentary so we get to get clsoer to some Greek Islands.
With final port being Barcelona, you may want to inquire if they charge Spanish VAT on the ship. If tehy do, it would be a big negative.
Yes, we were but then it was the Tahitian Princess. I agree with what Eschew has said. Its more intimate, you see people more often d/t its smaller capacity so this leads to a more friendly atmosphere and the food was the best we've had on a ship, understandably so as its easier to cook for 700 vs. thousands.
If you like a lot of glitz and production shows then this ship is not for you but it is very peaceful low keyed. We had the added plus of having the most fun group of table mates for dinner we've ever had.
As a small and light ship you will feel the motion of the ocean more so be sure to get an amidships cabin if this could be a problem.
