Hi all. I'm taking my twin 17 year old nieces on a cruise from Boston on July 20th. The reason for trip is to reward them for significant adversity they've had to struggle through and overcome. Anyone know of anything special that Norwegian does that I could surprise them with?
I'mve arranged for cake, signage and decorations in our room and wanted to see what else folks were aware of. I will be trying to get us to have dinner with Captain. Can you think or know of others things offered? Many thanks for your time. Lisa

Hello Gail...long time no read... You are absolutely right about not renting a motor scooter.. The Bermuda Gazette just reported this a.m. the death of an American on a motor scooter this a.m. Haven't been back to Bermuda in several years, but I would like "imgoodnu" to keep a heads up when snorkeling at some of the beach.. Sadly, there are locals who target tourists who leave their valuables (even hidden) on the beach when they go in the water. You get a great tour of Bermuda by the buses.. and although I haven't been to the new Swizzle Inn.. the one near the Perfume Factory is wonderful...day or night..and to hear the Bermuda Symphony... the siren of ambulances coming to the aid of scooter riders. One of the things I enjoyed when NCL docked in the West End.... was wandering the side streets and peeking into the gardens..I'm sure not high on the list for your nieces.. We found over the years the Bermudians are the most helpful people and willing to go out of their way to show you the right places and how to get there. As for doing something special for your nieces, talk to your travel agent and she if she has any "pull" having dinner with the Captain or another of the Officers.. We were invited one year and it certainly was a special occasion. Y ou might want to spring for dinner in the French restaurant one night.. it's very elegant. Oh yes.. I am not sure if they are still there but there is a trolley that tours Bermuda.. that is fun. As we Bermuda lovers like to say.. "Have a Bermudaful day"..
Hello and thank you for your warnings.
I will go out and purchase weatherproof containers for our passports and money.
Are there any places where we can lock things up?
Thanks again Lisa.
Ps one of the girls love gardens so we definitely will take. Peak!
And I just purchased my waterproof bag for our passports, etc....
My travel agent wasn't interested in helping out wih the surprise for the twins. In fact I cant seem to get her to reply on a differen topic I'd sent her two weeks ago. M
Ahhh, the joys of traveling.
