We cruised on the Millie last March and there was no odor of smoke in our cabin at all. A couple of the bars we would walk thru smelled really bad but that was it. Hopefully the cruise industry will start having non-smoking cabins someday soon. Have a great trip. Kathy

I have never been on a ship that had no-smoking rooms (other than the Carnival Paradise). Probably because the lines, unlike hotels, don't want rooms that they cannot fill. Their goal is to fill every room on every cruise so, by classifying rooms as no-smoking, etc. they'd stand the risk of having too many of one and not enough of another.
Carnival tried catering to the non-smoking with the Paradise. The entire ship (not just the rooms) was non-smoking. They later reclassified the ship and it is no longer smoke free. Most lines restrict smoking in common areas like dining rooms, theaters, etc.
I've always been amazed (as a non smoker) that I cannot smell smoke in the rooms, and I've sailed a lot, however, never on Celebrity which is who I assume you mean when you refer to it as X.
