MSC Divina Caribbean Cruise
I am booked on the 2/28/15 cruise and have seen some pretty bad reviews on other websites. Does anyone out there have suggestions on how to have a truly ENJOYABLE experience? We are a family group of 3 adults and we are especially looking forward to Italian food, wine and cocktails, plus the ports (Falmouth, Jamaica, Georgetown, Cayman Islands, Cozumel, Mexico, Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas).
I would especially like to hear from people who recently took this cruise. Is it advisable to book the dine around package for $107? Would you know the main dining room schedule for special dinners (seafood night, steak, etc)? Was the house wine drinkable? Any pictures of food and/or drink menus? What shore excursions are worth the money? THANK YOU!

I have only sailed on MSC's Splendida in Europe which is
much different than what they do in the US as they
charge for water, etc in Europe but not on U.S. cruises.
You should register for free on www.cruisecritic and click on
MSC cruises where there are lengthy discussions on Divina
& their other ships.

I looked at their reviews and frankly they are spotty and thats the best I can say. However the ship is very nice and a person I know at another forum posted a review recently of this ship and loved it so hopefully it will be very good for you too. Anyway you are away, at sea and on vacation. .

Rhea58 Thanks for the CruiseCritic suggestion. I just read the latest review and it was very encouraging.
Jacketwatch Thanks for your reply. I hope we have as good a time as your friend. You are right; we will be away at sea and ON VACATION together.

You're welcome. I would lower my expectations a little. MSC started as an ocean freight company and is relatively new to the cruise business. We have been on 5 Princess cruises and they have established a culture of good customer service. Hopefully MSC will do the same over time.
